Mariana-Art Studio - Watercolour & Acrylic Tuition

Welcome to Art Tuition, Courses and Workshops with Mariana Robinson. Mariana offers one-day watercolour workshops (see Calendar), private tuition for all levels of painters from absolute beginners to advanced students. Art Club Workshops and Demonstrations by arrangement as well as private tuition in Atelier Interactive Acrylics.

One-day workshops and Private Tuition days are carried out at Mariana's Studio in St. Briavels. Please see below about Art Club Venue Workshops and Demonstrations. For all interactive sessions, students are expected to provide their own art materials and packed lunch. Mariana will usually have a supply of SAA watercolour materials, Atelier Interactive Painting sets and Khadi Art journals.

Art Courses, Workshops & Tuition details

One-Day Workshop Courses
Mariana tutors small groups (maximum 5) at her studio in St. Briavels. These one-day courses are in either watercolour or Atelier interactive acrylics. Courses run from 10.00am to 4.00pm with a short break for lunch. Course dates, content and details can be found on the Calendar button. Students are asked to bring their own equipment and a packed lunch. Liquid refreshments will be provided. Please enquire about availability first. Fee payable at time of booking.
?70 per person per day.

Private Watercolour Tuition
Specific techniques taught alongside demonstrations, discussion, information and exercises. Courses are planned according to an individual's needs and experience. Ideal for absolute beginners in watercolour up to advanced level. If you are new to watercolour, please come along with whatever materials you have already..... it's better to try out this medium first. Fee payable at time of booking.
Full Day (6 hours) ?120, Half Day (3 hours) ?70 per person.
Full Day (2 people) - ?90 each; Half Day (2 people) - ?60 each.

Full Day Art Club Workshop
For Art Societies and Groups where all members are paying towards the overall fee, these full day workshops are the most cost effective way of learning from group and individual tuition. Mariana will demonstrate techniques, work on specific topics of the group's choice (agreed in advance) and allow members to experiment and ask questions. These workshops have proved to be very popular and productive. Workshops carried out at your usual art club venue from 10.00am to 4.00pm or time by agreement. Class limited to 20 people to allow for individual help. Fee payable against invoice on the day.
?220 per day + travel costs + tutor's light lunch provided by group.

Group Tuition & Art Holiday Breaks
Small groups of painter friends can be taught at Mariana's studio in St. Briavels in the heart of the Wye Valley. The day will include demonstrations, textures and techniques. Suitable for groups of 3-5 people tailor-made to a topic of their choice. Around 6 hours e.g. 10.00am to 4.00pm. Any number or days to suit whilst on holiday in the area. Dates by prior arrangement and payable in advance once you've sorted out your accommodation.
3 - 5 People - ?80 per person per day.

Demonstrations & Talks
Mariana is available for presentations to art groups and other clubs, at your usual venue. This will take the form of a talk and demonstration to an audience. It is not an interactive session. Expected duration between 2 - 3 hours and payable on the day. Please send an enquiry about your location and possible dates. Popular subjects are "Flowers & Gardens", "Light in Landscapes", "Guide to Abstract Painting" and "Introducing Atelier Interactive Acrylics". Fee payable against invoice on the day.
