29/08/2018: The Gallery Shed - A makeover

Visitors to the Gallery and Studio have all been intrigued by the hollyhocks adorning the gallery shed door. Mariana painted these using Atelier Interactive Acrylics during the only three-day window of fair weather in recent memory. The paint has stood the test of time and the elements but the following year saw a radical makeover for the shed. It's now bright PINK. The original shade of pink was hideous so Mariana added some cream/yellow/white Atelier paint to the remainder of the Raspberry Sorbet colour in the tin and produced this lovely dusky rose colour. Easier on the eye and what a huge difference a brightly coloured shed has made to the light levels in and around the gallery. It's really cheered up an otherwise dark corner of the garden.

If the colour and the hollyhocks inspire you to do something about your drab wooden outbuildings, come and speak to Mariana at the Gallery.
